What I collect
When you sign up for the newsletter, I collect your email address. That's it. I don't ask for your name, age, location, or anything else. If you voluntarily reply to one of my emails or reach out through the contact page, I'll have whatever information you choose to share in that message.
The website may also automatically collect basic, anonymous information about your visit — things like the type of device you're using, what page you came from, and how long you stayed. This is standard for any website and helps me understand what's working.
How I use it
Your email address is used for one thing: sending you the Real Life, Real Beauty newsletter. That means:
- Twice-monthly newsletter emails with skincare tips, product reviews, and confidence advice
- The occasional update about the brand or early access to new things
That's the whole list. No daily blasts. No surprise promotions from brands you didn't sign up for. No sharing your email with "trusted partners."
Who I share it with
I use trusted services to run the newsletter and the website. Specifically:
- ConvertKit — my email service provider. They store your email address and help me send the newsletter. Their privacy policy is here.
- My website host — serves the pages you're reading. They see basic, anonymous traffic information.
That's it. I never sell, rent, or trade your email address. I don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
Your rights
You're in charge of your information. You can:
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. One click and you're out.
- Request your data — ask what I have on file for you and I'll send it.
- Request deletion — ask me to remove your information from my list entirely.
To make any of these requests, just email me through the contact page. I'll handle it promptly.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses minimal cookies — small files stored in your browser — for basic functionality and anonymous analytics. I don't use tracking pixels or cross-site advertising cookies. If you'd prefer to disable cookies entirely, your browser settings can do that; the site will still work.
Children's privacy
This newsletter is written for adult women. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact me and I'll remove them.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the "last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, let subscribers know directly. I won't quietly start doing something different with your information.
Questions?
If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to make a request about your information, reach out through the contact page. I read everything.
